Matching tables

Old awkward sized desk was re-purposed into a matching set of end tables/night stands.  The original desk was barely large enough for a child to sit at but was made using solid wood construction that was too nice to waste.  The desk seemed to be built in several steps many years ago with panels on all sides but one.  The back was taken off, modified and reused as the side panel on one of the end tables.  The drawer configuration was altered to be the same on each and the top was cut down and reused.  Extra stock from the original piece was used as bottoms and ripped down to be used as additional frame members as needed.  The pieces were sanded and cleaned up, primed and painted in a modern coral color.  Finally, knobs were installed to complete the transformation.
